This was our first home building experience and a very emotional wildfire rebuild, which meant we were excited but cautious. We knew we wanted to find the builder who had originally constructed the beautiful and well built custom home that we had purchased not even five months prior to its burning to the ground.

We were happy to find and meet Walt and Kehr Construction almost immediately after the fire. Upon meeting him we felt at ease with the daunting task that lay ahead. Walt was helpful, informative and integral to our settlement with our insurance company. His genuine interest in our project and honest explanation of his home building process immediately put us at ease and cemented the fact that he was the only person to build our home.

After meeting a few of his previous and current clients and walking through their homes our confidence in Walt solidified. Now that we are moved in, we see that our high expectations were realized over the time we interacted with Walt. Walt was always flexible with us and with the few modifications we made to the plans during the building process. Walt would even anticipate our needs and design and was a genuine collaborator in achieving our true home. At the same time he demanded exactness and only the highest quality products and subcontractors.

Not only did we live out of state while our home was being built, but construction occurred before and during the global pandemic all the while we found Walt to be completely accessible and communicative during the process and he made us feel that our home was his only project. Not only was it a great business relationship, it developed into a true friendship. Kehr Construction doesn’t just build homes,they build lasting relationships.
